Two young children, parents ten minutes apart
Why this schedule
At 3 and 5, neither child holds a week-long absence comfortably. 2-2-3 caps the gap at three nights and still splits the year exactly evenly. The cost is six exchanges every two weeks, which is only sustainable because the parents live ten minutes apart.
Overnights
182 / 183 overnights before holidays. With an alternating major-holiday rotation and a split winter break, the annual figure stays within two nights of even.
